Baseball All Star

From Cards

My nephew was on his baseball all-star team, so this was his b-day card. The colors are weird on this screen, but I think it's Wild Wasabi and Old Olive??? The baseball player is from SU! Alphabet stamps from Hobby Lobby, and the star is actually a clear sticker placed over cardstock and cut out. Square brads from Spare Parts.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stationery envelope and cards

This is a stationery set that we made, again, at a stamping party. We made the envelope to hold it all with 12x12 sheet, cut down to size. Here is the front. The medallion was stamped on sparkly glittery white cardstock, which, as always, is much prettier IRL.
From Cards

From Cards
This is the stamp holder on the inside flap of the envelope.

From Cards
Here it is fully opened... a slot for stamps, one for cards, and one for envelopes.

From Cards

Here it is with all the cards and coordinating envelopes in view.
From Cards
Here is the first card I made... Thinking of you. I REALLY struggled to get this card to work for me... it took about 15 tries, I think! Thanks for my missing mojo! I finally got it to work well enough that I was OK with it!

From Cards

Here's the last card... the sentiment says "Birthday Wishes," if you can't read it. The silver gel pen used doesn't always photograph so well!
From Cards

Most of the stamps used were SU!, with the exception of the silver flowers on the second card. I'm not sure where those came from. Colors are Blue Bayou and Soft Sky, as well as silver.

I sent this to my grandma... she LOVED it! She is so funny - she loves to brag about my stamping to her friends that stamp. It makes me feel good about my stamping, and of course, she always gets the extra cards that I make at stamping parties, etc., that I wouldn't normally send out! It's always nice when people appreciate your work!

Thinking of You

From Cards
We made this card at a stamping party, so I can't take any credit for it. I actually used it as an anniversary card since the pp says "love" right above the felt flowers. This is all SU! stuff, but I don't really know the details. The flower bkgd on the Groovy Guava is a jumbo wheel. I really like this one!

Birthday Cake

From Cards

This was another SIL's birthday card.

Cardstock: white from Walmart, SU! pp in Real Red (6x6 pack)
Ink:Basic Black, Red glitter gel pen, Silver gel pen, yellow gel pen
Other: Marvy oval punch, white ribbon from Walmart, Real Red heart eyelets from SU!, and silver paint pen
I doodled around the perimeter of the oval with a silver gel pen.

Thinking of You

From Cards

The color on this picture is weird, but you get the idea. I've been struggling with my "mojo" in stamping quite a bit lately, so when I saw this card kit on clearance at Hobby Lobby, I snatched it up! I added the Rose Romance (retired) heart eyelets and stamped a little on the inside. I don't remember who makes this kit, either, but I'll try to remember to edit it in when I get a chance.

Give yourself a big hug!

From Cards

This was made for a family member whose spouse was not able to be with them on their anniversary. I made 2 of the exact same card, only with the colors reversed. This polar bear and the sentiment below are also from Gina K designs, I think. The "Thinking of you" sentiment is SU!

Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi (and of course, white from WALMART!), PP in the same colors from the 6x6" mat pack.
Ink: same as above
Other: Corner punch SU!, white heart eyelets from SU!, Heart shape stencil and free-hand cut

Thanks for visiting!

FIESTA!!!

From Cards

My SIL is Mexican, and is very proud of her culture. I made this card for her son. It's very bright and colorful... not my normal style, but I ended up liking it a lot. Every piece of cardstock in the bkgd is stamped with Versamark and a different pattern dealing with birthdays.

Cardstock: SU! Basic Black,Brilliant Blue, Cool Carribean, Garden Green, Only Orange, YoYo Yellow, Real Red
Inks: same as above, plus Basic Gray
Other: Deckle edge on my cutter, Silver gel pen

TFL! :-)

Husband & Wife

From Cards

This was an anniversary card for my brother & SIL. I LOVE these giraffes! I think they are Gina K... I borrowed them from a friend, so I'm not sure. I just bent the front giraffe stamp over a bit when I stamped it (which took quite a bit of manipulating!) :-) I love how their spots look like hearts.

Cardstock; So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate PP
Ink: Sage Shadow, Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi
The card shape was made with a stencil, and cut out by hand (no Nestibilities here!) :-)
The Wasabi layer is cut with my cutter with the deckle edge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

From Cards

This was my niece's birthday card... she turned 7 this summer.

Cardstock is SU! Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery and Retired slumber party PP.
Ink: Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, Cool Carribean, and Certainly Celery.
Marvy Scalloped Square punch.
Cupcake is paper-pieced with different white cardstock that I just stamped different colors.

If you want any more info (like what stamp sets I used) just leave a comment. I'm posting these from my laptop while watching a ball game with my husband, so I don't know all the names of the stamp sets. :-)

Thanks for visiting!

Wishing you Love

From Cards

Sorry, I couldn't get a nice clear picture of this one. This is an anniversary card. The Precious Moments stamp I've had FOREVER! The paisley stamp is SU! as is the sentiment. The sentiment is underneath a clear sticker. Cardstock is Buckaroo Blue from SU!, as is the ink. PM stamp colored in with markers.

Soldier - You are in my thoughts and prayers

This is a card I made for a family member who was deployed recently. I took the pictures separately before I placed the vellum layer over top so that you could see the detail. I LOVE this card!

From Cards
I don't remember now what all I used for this, but it was a combination of SU! stamps. Cardstock is Brilliant Blue, Silver and Ruby Red. Soldier image was colored in with Old Olive marker. Star (behind soldier) is cut-out from a stencil free-hand. Vellum, silver eyelets, and silver embossing powder were also used. Sentiments and praying hands stamps were all purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Independence Day!

On this day, I'm praising and thanking God for our country, and more specifically, all of the men and women who have or are sacrificing for our country in the military... whether here at home or overseas. Thank you and your families for sacrificing for MY freedom and liberty! I am deeply grateful.

So - here is a card that I made with the troops overseas in mind. I must admit that I was pretty impressed with my creativity on this one! If you look on your phone, the zip code spells "i luv u."

If you want details let me know...

Lighthouse birthday

Here's another lighthouse card I made for my BIL. Enjoy!

Stamps: SU! By the Sea wheel, TAC lighthouse and birds, Nautical set (unknown maker)
Cardstock/Ink/Markers: Walmart White, SU! Summer Sun, Really Rust, Buckaroo Blue, Sahara Sand
Other: Hemp twine from Walmart, cork circles from my grandma! :-)

Adoption

When SU! came out with the stamp set that had sentiments for twins and adoption, I knew I was going to have to get my hands on it! In my post here, I used the twins sentiments. We have some friends that just adopted a little girl, so I got to use those sentiments, too! Here's the card:

Stamps: SU! By Ones & By Twos, Welcome, Little One, For a Friend, Sketch an Event, and unknown dot alphabet set
Cardstock/Ink/Markers: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa.
Patterned paper is from a pack that my SIL sent me.

Grad cards

This first card we made at our stamping party Tuesday night. It is a pop-up, gift/money holder card... so cool! It was quite a job trying to figure out how to get the money holder part to work correctly, but eventually we got it figured out! I don't know what stamp sets or anything we used... I just stamped it! :-)

This second card is another grad card I made with some patterned paper my SIL sent me.

Stamps: SU! Sketch an Event
Cardstock/Ink/Markers: Walmart white, SU! Brilliant Blue
Patterned papers from my SIL, including the diploma
Other: Marvy Giga Oval punch, Scotch Tape dimensionals

TWO CUTE

When SU! came out with this set in the mini catalogue, I LOVED it! It's a baby set with sentiments for both adoptions and the birth of twins. I just so happen to have friends that just adopted a little girl, and friends that just had twin boys. I borrowed my SU! demonstrator's stamp set and went to work. Here is the card for the twins (named Brady and Jadyn):
This card fits into a business size envelope.
Close-up of onesies
Close-up of sentiment
Close-up of inside
I don't know all the details of where I got everything (stamps, etc.) but here are the details I know:
Stamps: SU! By Ones & By Twos, A Little Love, Swell News, Background Basics,
PSX (A Baby is a blessing... sentiment)
Cardstock/Ink/Markers: White - Walmart, SU! Brilliant Blue, Summer Sun
Other: Hemp twine (Walmart), Scotch Tape Dimensionals, See-through star stickers and footprint, rattle and diaper pin stickers all from a package from my SIL
I was just THRILLED with the way this card turned out! I hope my friends enjoyed it!

Stamping Party cards

I hosted this month's stamping party, and this is what we stamped. Sorry I don't have the details for the stamps, etc, we used, but enjoy the cards anyway!

"you're absolutely fabulous"

"No, seriously - you are!
Birthday hugs and wishes"

This was a Mother's Day card we made. When I got it home, I added the blue to the middle flower... and now wish I hadn't! Oh, well, my grandma will love it regardless! I love the brown and blue color combo!

I earned $35 free merchandise from the party, plus a hostess set, so I got a 6x6 paper pack for the hostess set (because I didn't really like any of the other stamp sets enough to get them!), and the Baroque Motifs stamp set, and Wild Wasabi ink, re-inker and paper. YEAH! I LOVE free stuff!

This is not a favorite of mine, but I'm guessing my BIL won't mind. I did NOT make this card at the stamping party. I got the colors from the strip of patterned paper on the side, then stamped the larger background paper. Here are the details:

Stamps: SU! Fly Fishing
Paper/Ink: (My white cardstock is always from Walmart) SU! Sage Shadow, Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp, Basic Brown; Patterned paper is from a stash that my SIL gave me and I don't know who makes it.
Other: Marvy Giga Oval punch

Baroque Motifs

The card below is the same layout as one I posted yesterday. I borrowed a friend's stamp set for these, and just stamped a whole bunch of the backgrounds and images to cut out and use later.
Here's another Mother's Day card, just a little different than the one I posted yesterday.
Stamps: SU! Baroque Motifs and Fancy Flexible Phrases (for the sentiment)
Cardstock/Inks: SU! Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink
Other: White ribbon from Walmart, pearl from a scrapbooking kit, heart page pebble (from I don't know where), Marvy Super Jumbo Scalloped Square punch, and I also used the deckle blade on my paper cutter.
I decided to do something a little different with this card, since I have all my Mother's Day cards finished now. I couldn't quite figure out how to use this bigger, square motif, and I finally came up with this. Most of the details are the same as above, so I'll just fill in the ones NOT listed above.
Stamps: SU! Priceless
Other: Marvy Mega Scalloped Square punch, Crystal glitter from Mark Enterprises, and SU! Purely Pomegranate ribbon.

I think that's about it for the cards like this... I used all the stuff that I stamped! Hope you have a great day!

Pink Morning Glory

My mom gave me this large morning glory stamp, so I thought it would be fitting if I made her birthday card with it! :-)

Stamps: Morning Glory by Stampendous, Morning Glories (border) by Hero Arts, sentiment ? - it's a foam stamp that someone gave to me.
Paper: White Cardstock from Walmart, SU! Slumber Party PP, SU! Regal Rose
Ink: SU! Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore, Gable Green.
Other: Marvy Giga Circle punch, oval page pebble (someone gave these to me, too, so I have no idea where they came from)

Favorite Peeps

This is the Easter card I made for my hubby, Chris, to go with the Peeps that I buy him every year. He loves Peeps, and I can't STAND them! Anyway, here's a couple pictures of the card.

Attached to the box with hemp twine...

The inside of the card...

I LOVE this little chick. I'm not sure what SU! set he's from... I borrowed him from a friend. Anyhow - here's the details:
Stamps: Chick from SU!, Mini Alphabet Set - Curlz- from The Little Classic Rubber Stamp, Antique Alphabet from Image Tree, and crazy alphabet (1179) from TAC.
Paper: White Cardstock from Walmart, SU! Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise Cardstock, Patterned paper from the Dollar Store.
Ink: SU! Summer Sun, More Mustard, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Marvy Giga Oval and Circle punches, page pebble oval sticker, hemp twine from Walmart

Baby Blessings

A baby card I made for my friend who had a baby girl a little over a month ago.

The baby stamps are SU! Baby Firsts, and I'm not sure what the name of the wheel is, but I'm sure it's similar. The sentiment is PSX, and the "it's a girl" at the bottom of the sentiment is from SU! So Many Sayings.

I used white cardstock from Walmart, and the wheel ink color I think is Pink Passion. The other colors are SU! Lavendar Lace, Pixie Pink, and Gable Green. I colored and doodled with the markers in the same colors.

Miscellaneous Cards from 2008 (5)

I love this little ladybug! I didn't like ladybugs for a while b/c they brought back bad memories of our house being INFESTED with them. However, I got all these ladybug stamps in stamp sets that I have, and thought I'd put them to use! Someone ELSE might like them, and I'm starting to like them again, too!

When I saw this Clickabella stamp and sentiment on someone else's blog, I just HAD to have it! I spend a lot of time keeping up with friends and family via e-mail, blogs, facebook, etc. I just think this stamp is ADORABLE!

This card was made for a Cupcake Friday challenge on Taylor's blog. Her sketch was of a 5"x5" card, but I did the normal size and then did the sketch on that. I paper pieced the cupcake, too.

Delight in Life Dutch card ~ My grandma is Dutch, and so my mom bought me the now retired SU! Netherlands set. I use it all the time for my grandma's cards, and she loves it!

OK - that's it for the past cards, except the ones that still remain on my camera! I'll get to those soon, but wanted to catch up first! :-) Hope you enjoyed my cards!
